Bread Without Butter Reviews My Peanut Butter S'mores Cheesecake

Bread Without Butter's photo of her PB S'mores Cheesecake!
Way, way, waaaaay back in May, my beautiful, amazing, talented, benevolent, kind and forgiving blogger friend, Tiffany, over at Bread Without Butter (did I mention she's forgiving and kind and benevolent?) reviewed the Peanut Butter S'mores Cheesecake recipe from this blog post. It was the first cheesecake recipe I developed on my own, and it's proven to be one of my most popular posts, as far as traffic and page hits and all those little technical things that we bloggers look at to know what works.

Except, in this particular case, I didn't actually KNOW the recipe worked. I mean, I know it made cheesecake, and I know my family liked it. But... what if we all have weird taste buds that work in an entirely different way than the rest of the general population?

That's where Tiffany comes in. She's amazing (I think I mentioned that) and super-talented at reviewing recipes and suggesting changes, when they need them. A positive recipe review from Tiffany, in my opinion, means 1) I wrote the recipe in an understandable way, and 2) it's fit for consumption by the general public.

So, Tiffany did her amazing review thing, sent me the link, and... I forgot to post it. I was moving my household of nine for three-quarters of the month of May, and I spent the other quarter traveling to Washington, D.C., and it completely slipped my mind.

SO... Without further ado, let me extend one more gushing apology to Tiffany (sorry, Tiffany!), and direct you to her delightful review, here.

Bread Without Butter Reviews My Cookie Recipes

Tiffany at Bread Without Butter reviewed Sexy Vegan Mama's Amaretto Sugar Cookies and Kahlua Crinkle Cookies! In anticipation of the forthcoming Sweet and Simple Vegan Desserts, which I am co-authoring with best-selling author William Maltese, I've reached out and ask some of the best vegan bloggers on the planet to help test the recipes. Do I have the greatest pals in the world, or what?

Let me extend my belated thanks and acknowledgment for this awesome recipe review on Bread Without Butter. I've been moving and otherwise in the middle of Insanity Isle over the past month. Do you sweet readers have any idea what it's like to move a household with seven kids? Egads!

As I may have mentioned, Tiffany knows her stuff when it comes to breaking down a recipe.

Anyway, check out Tiffany's cuter-than-cute moose-shaped sugar cookies, above. Adorable, or what? Read her entire review of both recipes, here. Be sure to watch Tiffany's Twitter feed for more amazing vegan news and food!

Bread Without Butter Reviews My Derby Gurlz Mini-Cupcakes

Derby Gurlz Double Mocha Mini-Cupcakes,
as baked by Tiffany of
Bread Without Butter
Tiffany at Bread Without Butter is not afraid of diving into a recipe. Me? I get intimidated by complex recipes required a particular skill set I don't naturally possess, but not Tiffany. Pulled noodles, anyone?

Though she swears she's not a formally-trained chef, I marvel at Tiffany's ability to troubleshoot recipes and break them down in an easy-to-follow format. That's why she's a great recipe tester.

One of the things she suggests in her review of my Derby Gurlz Double Mocha Mini-Cupcakes with Coconut Almond Cream Cheese Frosting is sifting the cocoa powder to ensure a lump-free batter. I'd never thought of that! In fact, after making the recipe and using a spatter screen to "sift" the cocoa powder onto the frosted cupcakes, I seriously considered buying a sifter, but my thought was to use it in the garnishing process, not the mixing. Ha!

Just look how adorable Tiffany's cupcakes turned out! Watch her Twitter feed for more delicious recipes and treats!

Are you ever intimidated by a recipe that seems too advanced for you? Or do you just jump in, without fear, like Tiffany?
